Rockpool Investments wins PE House of the Year at the 2025 Real Deals Private Equity Awards
Rockpool Investments has been named Private Equity House of the Year – Small-Cap at the prestigious 2025 Real Deals Private Equity Awards. This award celebrates the achievements of European buyout houses in the small-cap segment over the past year, focusing on firms targeting investments in businesses with an enterprise value of less than €25m. Judging for this award considers excellence across fundraising, new deals, exits, and the overall growth and evolution of the firm.
In 2024, Rockpool deployed £73m across new platform acquisitions and follow-on investments, alongside an impressive £119m returned to investors through exits, refinancings, and interest payments.
Despite uncertain economic times, Rockpool’s focus on high-growth UK SMEs, supported by targeted M&A activity, continues to deliver strong results for investors. In 2024, Rockpool backed four new companies – Harley Academy, Oxford Online Pharmacy, 2i, and Communicate – and exited investments in Mecsia, Alchemist Learning and Development, and Smyle. Portfolio revenue grew by 39%, driven by organic growth and strategic acquisitions.
