Why choose Rockpool?
We make it easy for investors to build a diverse portfolio of private company investments, accessed on a deal-by-deal basis through our range of accounts and services.
Our active involvement with management teams from investment through to exit is recognised in the industry, and in 2025 we were named Real Deals PE House of the Year (Small Cap).
We aim to deliver attractive returns over a 3-5 year period, and we don’t charge any fees to investors.
Private company investments are illiquid and you may not be able to sell your investments when you want to. Returns are not guaranteed and capital is at risk.

“Investing with Rockpool is a sensible addition to investing in a conventional equity portfolio.”Gina, retired solicitor & investor since 2018
This unique asset class is largely uncorrelated to the main markets and can add diversity and value to a broader portfolio. You can choose between private equity and private debt, or a mixture of both, depending on your investment approach and which accounts you choose to open.
Invest in established, profitable businesses with real potential for transformational growth. We target a trade sale or PE exit within five years, aiming to deliver strong capital gains on your investment. An exit timeline can take longer than expected, and capital is at risk.
Lend directly to private companies. Loans bear interest at 10–12% per annum, and come with a share in the growth of the business. The target return across a diverse loan portfolio is 15% p.a. after provision for losses. Target returns are not guaranteed. This sort of investment does not provide a reliable source of income.
Our account types
We offer a range of account types designed to maximise flexibility and tax efficiency, from personal accounts to SIPPs, IFISAs and company accounts.
