Rockpool Investments partners with 2i to target further growth organically and via acquisitions
2i provides quality engineering services that de-risk its customers’ ongoing digital transformation programmes. The company plays a key role in the long-term development of mission critical IT systems, making use of its highly skilled software engineers and automation products for its public sector and blue-chip client base.
2i is led by Dave Kelly who has delivered a period of sustained high growth alongside his management team since refocussing the business in 2016 on their historical strengths in the quality assurance market.
The funding will assist 2i to continue its strong growth journey and to further capitalise on its quality engineering expertise by expanding its service and product range organically and via bolt-on acquisitions. Rockpool’s investment was led by Guy Nieuwenhuys and Will Beckett.
We are absolutely delighted with this investment from Rockpool who we believe are the perfect partner to help us on the next stage of our growth journey. Their support and expertise will help us to further develop our service offerings and identify acquisition opportunities to support our aim of becoming the premier quality engineering company in the UK.
Dave Kelly, CEO of 2i
Rockpool’s investment in 2i is a fantastic partnership for all concerned. It has been a pleasure to work with Dave and the rest of the team on this transaction and I look forward to following 2i go from strength-to-strength on the next stage of their growth journey with Rockpool’s support.
