Rockpool’s portfolio company EC Electronics completes first acquisition, Swan EMS
Rockpool has provided further acquisition funding to EC Electronics, a global provider of electronic manufacturing services for OEMs and product innovators.
The business produces and supplies high-quality electronics-based products to customers across various industries including internet of things, medical devices, electric vehicles, and environmental monitoring.
Swan Electronics Manufacturing Solutions (“EMS”) specialises in custom harness assemblies and box build assemblies for the electronics industry. The acquisition of Swan provides the group with enhanced production capacity in the UK, supported by the Romania manufacturing operation. The group will be able to offer a wider range of manufacturing services and technical support across the enlarged business.
Guy Nieuwenhuys and Toby Hurdle led the investment for Rockpool.
At EC Electronics we believe there is excellent growth potential for mid-sized cable assembly and electronics box build specialists in the UK and mainland Europe. Swan will significantly strengthen the group’s UK capabilities.
