James joined Rockpool in 2025, where he focuses on deal origination, transaction execution and portfolio management.
Since joining Rockpool, James has co-led investments in two platform transactions and currently serves as a Board member across four Rockpool portfolio companies.
Prior to Rockpool, James worked at a London-based family office, investing in UK SMEs across a variety of sectors. Before this, he spent three years working in the Investment Banking team of Rothschild & Co, advising on transactions spanning multiple industries and geographies. James began his career at PwC, where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant.
James holds a BSc in Economics from the University of Nottingham and is a member of the ICAEW.
Outside of Rockpool, James’ interests include following Arsenal, and spending time with his wife and daughter.
